The Gifts That Really Matter

This is going to be a special Christmas.
I’m refining the script for TGBCG. Thanks Nic and Esther for the draft, which I’ve had a good laugh.
That said, it’s quite a challenge. There’s the element of wanting to give it a new slant to the message of Christmas and God’s love for us. But as much as we wish to say that the gifts are free, they are not.
The concept that items can be free is very appealing, especially for the Singapore culture. I’m thinking of Hello Kitty queues, 2 set meals for the price of 1. It will be something that we can all identify with; even laugh about.
But Christmas is not free.
It cost Christ His life – a road He took – in obedience.
So as I’m working on the script, I’m trying to slowly but surely inject this; through the games that are being played, and the participation from the studio audience. TGBCG is about Gifts That Really Matter. No more white elephant presents; no more getting gifts you had given last Christmas.
What are you thoughts? How do you think this can be done?

Ya, those sound like great ideas. Maybe a list of things Singaporeans like to queue up for. Like buying HDB flat/queing for national day tickets.
have been looking at the first draft. am thinking its not very good, will work on another one before the next time we meet? If you’re busy, how about sending me ideas to improve the present one? or if not so busy, i send you some of mine. haha.
hope your overseas trip is going well. =)
