Thank God for :

• the 53 volunteers on Sunday who covered about 500 units
• about 200 owners contacted
• 14% have indicated interest and would like some follow-up.
• 2 owners signed up on the spot.  On Monday, a resident who received our flyer called the church office to register for 3 tickets.
• 38% of owners indicated that they would consider

His grace in every aspect

• good weather,
• willing hearts (and feet)
• good response from neighbours

Some administrative updates

1. Tickets – We are still working on the tickets and will only be able to distribute them from end Nov

2. Registration – You should receive a confirmation email for your online registration. Please inform us if there is any mistakes. The names of the participants are required because we will be giving out prizes to selected names! (Hey, it’s not the Great Big Christmas Giveaway for nothing!)

Now for those who have not yet registered… the graph below shows the number of people registered as of 16 Nov… we are receiving new online registrations daily and tickets are going rather quickly (especially for 19 Dec)!

Prayer Focus : Singers and Band

“Then David spoke to the leaders of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers accompanied by instruments of music, stringed instruments, harps, and cymbals, by raising the voice with resounding joy.”

Prayer and Thanksgiving :

• Thank God for all who have stepped forward to sing or to play.
• Pray that they will remain focused on Jesus, remembering the purpose for this project.
• Pray for strength & good coordination as rehearsals intensify.
• Pray that His message will come through even as they make a joyful noise unto Him.

As we start to invite our friends and family to TGBCG, let’s not forget the community around us.  Let’s help to spread the good news and invite our neighbours too!

Come and join us as we give out flyers to our neighbours on 15 Nov 2009 (Sun), 2 – 4pm.  We certainly need manpower!  If you are interested, drop us an e-mail, or sign up at the booth which will be set up outside the Annexe on Sunday.

Prayer Focus : Publicity
Mark 16:15 : Then Jesus said, “…..Go everywhere and announce the Message of God’s good news to one and all….”.

Pray :

• For the Church to pray together as we prepare for TGBCG
• For willing hearts (and willing feet) to help with the flyer distribution, and wisdom to respond correctly
• That the hearts of our friends and neighbours would be open, and that they would respond favourably

It’s been 1.5 months since this blog was started for The Great Big Christmas Giveaway (TGBCG).

We are now occupying the top 4 results in the google search for “Great Big Christmas Giveaway”, and the top 2 for “Big Christmas Giveaway”!  We are also somewhere on the 1st page for “Great Christmas Giveaway”, “Great Big Giveaway”, and “Christmas Giveaway”. However, we are not found in the results for “Christmas Present”.

We will be giving out prizes and gifts as part of our Christmas giveaway – thanks to our generous sponsors. However, TGBCG is really not about prizes. It is about gifts or presents. And “presents”, in a way, paint a more formal picture of giving.

As with every gift or present, there needs to be a giver and a receiver. We have enough gifts/presents for everyone. Will you, your family, and your friends come to receive your present?

Yet another time for all of us to gather and commit ourselves and TGBCG to God!
