Quote of the Month
"What in this life, and for eternity, could be better than developing a relationship with a Father who loves us perfectly and who wants to know us and grow us into the people He created us to be? … The way to make it happen is through prayer." - John Maxwell

(adapted from “Partners in Prayer” by John Maxwell)
1. Pray Spontaneously - Be sensitive to His prompts, be creative when you pray. Pray when awakened at night, as you drive or with someone over the phone!
2. Pray Specifically - When we are more specific, we would be more alert to hearing the answers!
3. Ask Correctly - Before you "ask", examine your needs. As you "seek", be ready to do your part. And be persistent as you "knock" until the answer comes or He changes your request (Matt 7:7-8).
4. Pray Attentively - giving all of your heart to Him, use a journal to keep you focused from distractions.
5. Pray Continually - Keep a conversation with God going all day. He is with you (1 Thess 5:17). |

Lessons from the Life of Moses - shared by Elder Ernest Chew.
Moses was one of the greatest leaders in the history of Israel, and is revered as its great law-giver. Yet he had his low as well as high moments, and all were turning points when God met with him. He exemplifies servant leadership, and like Abraham he was a friend of God. He authored the first five books of the Bible, and his story is found mainly in Exodus and Numbers. Start with Stephen's summary in Acts 7:20-44, and journey with Moses and his God in the month of March.
7 March : Introduction and the Prince of Egypt
14 March : A Shepherd in Exile and His Call
21 March : The Leader of the Exodus and His Challenges
28 March : Conclusion: From Moses to Jesus |
