Singapore just experienced the highest inflation rate in recent years. And elsewhere around the world, there is a looming threat of starvation and war in the light of rising food costs. What is our response? How should we start to think about our possessions and ability to provide?
One out of every six verses in Matthew, Mark, and Luke is about material possessions, and nearly half of Jesus' parables are about possession. And even so, material possessions are just part of the resources we have been entrusted with as stewards (managers) on this earth. What determines our giving? How much could or should one spend? How can we live without financial burdens? In May's pulpit series, we examine what the Bible says about "Living beyond Poverty and Prosperity". Come and be renewed.
