February Pulpit Series: “God’s Men - First Class”

Have you seen the highly popular movie, X-Men: First Class? In the movie, Professor X, the leader of the X-Men, carefully selects and nurtures a group of young individuals into a group of superheroes. In the same way, God chooses and trains the youth for his purposes. What can we learn from the way some biblical characters were called and shaped from the time of their youth? How were they shaped (or not) by significant adults in their lives? This series of sermons that studies the lives of Isaac, Timothy, Samuel & David encourages us not to “despise our youth” but instead to see their potential to be proactive in mentoring them as leaders in training, not leaders in waiting.
