How might we commemorate our 50th year just round the corner? Drawing inspiration from the spirit of the Jubilee Year in Leviticus 25:9-11, the Lord showed us that it is an opportunity to Renew, Release and Rejoice.
To focus our energies in 2008, we encourage one and all to simply observe 5 "One thing"s.
One Watch...
Be Ready: Start The Year With Prayer
What better way to start the year than in personal & corporate prayer? At the stroke of midnight on New Year’s eve, we will acknowledge God’s faithfulness to us in the last 50 years with 50 hours of round-the-clock prayer, starting from Midnight 31 Dec to 2am of 2 Jan.
- Commit to Pray. Select a slot of 30min, 1 hour or more as you are led. Sign up as a cell group or family. Would you especially take the early morning hours? (Registration starts next Sunday, 9 Dec).
- Come & Pray... at Watchnight Service. On Monday 31 Dec, starting at 10.30pm, we gather in worship and reflection. At the stroke of midnight, we will start the year together in corporate prayer, launching "One Watch".
- Continue in Prayer. We keep vigil for the next 50 hours, handing over the baton of prayer from hour to hour, cell to cell, person to person.
Sign up today to take up a One-hour slot as a cell or individual. May the chain be unbroken! Praise God for the willing response of His people to pray over 50 hours. Just a few more slots left.
