Dear family,

Today (31 Jan 2010) we launch F.I.R.E. (Frankel Intercessors Ready Everywhere & Everytime). Everyday, from Monday Feb 1, someone from our church will be praying - not for themselves but really, for you. Yes, you - the church at Bethesda Frankel Estate!

We stand in awe of Him for our first F.I.R.E. prayer answered: in just 16 days, 225 Frankelites have pledged to pray! Each of you is precious to Him and to BFEC as you step up in faith, willing to be counted on to pray for whom Christ came to die, His bride.

Interestingly, last Sunday, the F.I.R.E. count reached exactly 210, our faith target. Then the number continued to rise the very next day. If you are reading this and had wanted to sign up, it’s not too late. It is easy to think, “Oh, no need, there are enough people!”. But for a church of about 700 regular English-speaking worshippers, there’s surely
room for many more when it comes to prayer. Just contact through the website or drop a Response Form into the offering bag with your name, email, contact mobile and choice of date (from 1 - 31) to indicate which same day each month you would commit to pray for the church.

Last Sunday, the FIRE challenge was also given to the Senior Sunday School. Would you join me in giving thanks for the 17 youth who have since signed up? And that’s just the beginning, I hear.…
