"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. ALWAYS BE PREPARED to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect..." (1 Peter 3:15, NIV).

4. Christ-centred Concerns (1 Peter 3:13-18) -- its communication with a good conscience.

Questions for Discussion

1. What is the connection between an authentic Christian community and its effective witness in society? Reflect on 1 Pet.3:8-16.

2. Read 1 Pet. 3:1-2, 7, 9-12, and consider:

Are the promised blessings a future heavenly inheritance or a present earthly experience?
