I AM The Resurrection and The Life

Key verse: John 11:25 - Jesus said to her,
"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live."

Sermon Outline
When Jesus delayed his visit to Lazarus Martha demonstrated admirable faith even though her brother Lazarus had been dead and entombed. She was still hopeful and totally confident that her brother would be resurrected by Jesus at the last day. Her only regret was that if Jesus had come earlier he would have lived. Martha displayed a remarkable understanding of who Jesus was and that resurrection happened by believing Jesus and not by merit. What Martha totally failed to anticipate was Jesus resurrecting Lazarus there and then.
What does this story tell us about Jesus and why did Jesus do that? In what way is Jesus' life giving mission still relevant? What is the right posture we should assume after knowing Jesus?
