Roland Tan


Dr. Roland Tan (DMin) has been a full-time staff of Singapore Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru-Singapore) since 1974. As head of the student ministry, he started short term mission trips for Singapore campus staff and students in 1980.  This activated the Singapore Dream of Cru-Singapore becoming a blessing to every nation.  He has given leadership to Cru's new-staff training programs in Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and China.  His responsibilities with the Cru Regional Office covered 13 countries in East Asia from 1987-1996, where he was exposed to regional finance, HR, and national leadership development. He was the National Director of Cru-Singapore from 1996-2006. He is a faculty at Cru's East Asia School of Theology (EAST) where he trains Christian leaders in Personal Leadership.  As Dean of Extension of EAST, he co-ordinates theological education of Cru's field staff and pastors in East Asia.

Together with Ying Kheng (wife) and Julienne (daughter), Roland serves as an elder-teacher in our church's Grow@Noon.

Dr. Roland Tan has been a full-time staff of Singapore Campus Crusade for Christ (S.C.C.C.) since 1974. Sending Singapore campus students for short term mission trips was his brainchild (1980). God has also used him to pioneer ministries in Hongkong and Indo-China. He has also lived in and served in the Philippines and South Korea. With the East Asia Area Office from 1987-1996, his responsibilities included Campus, Staff Training (G.C.T.C.), New Life Training for churches, Finance, and Personnel. He was the National Director of SCCC from 1996-2006. He is an elder with Bethesda Frankel Estate Church, where he serves as superintendent for the teenagers' Sunday School.

Dr. Tan has been teaching Public Speaking and Biblical Preaching as an adjunct faculty at EAST. He is married to Ying Kheng and they have a daughter, Julienne who was born in Hong Kong.
