Missions & Evangelism

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Missions Board

BFEC's first missionary was the late Elder Seet Poon Soo when he took the step of faith to go into full time ministry at the age of 47 in 1969. Mr Seet opened the way and visited neighboring countries doing outreach work with the indigenous people. Subsequently our first missionary couple was Melville and Salome Szto who took the step of faith in 1975 to venture into Japan serving as Singapore’s first missionaries with OMF International. Over the years, BFEC has partnered with numerous missionaries in church and humanitarian relief work. The goal of BFEC missions is to glorify God through global and local missions via the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ by Frankelites everywhere. We also work with and support various missionary organizations. It is our desire to develop a world vision in every Frankelite, and to encourage them to go on short & medium term mission exposure trips in the hope that some will serve as cross-cultural missionaries locally and overseas.

Alpha

The Alpha Course is simply a pressure-free opportunity for anyone to explore the meaning of life. Run over 8 weeks. It consists of thought-provoking talks & discussions about key issues, offering perspectives from the Christian faith. Anyone who has questions about the meaning of life, or simply keen to investigate Christianity is most welcome to join the Alpha course. A typical Alpha meeting involves a relaxing dinner at 7.00pm, so you can come straight from your job, class or chores. It is followed by a 45 minute DVD talk addressing a key issue, and then a time of discussions where participants break into groups to ask questions & express opinions. The whole session lasts no more than two-and-a-half hours. Many who participated in previous years’ Alpha Course were tremendously blessed. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the Christian faith in the next Alpha course.
