If you have never used Zoom before, here’s a quick guide
1. Download the Zoom app
Download the Zoom Client for Meetings from https://zoom.us/download
*Note: While Zoom will work on smartphones, we really recommend using a laptop or at least a tablet (e.g. iPad) for Zoom meetings.
2. Sign In
When you start your Zoom app for the first time, please Sign In or Sign Up for a Free Account.
As we need to ascertain the identity of the person joining our meetings, please sign in to your Zoom app. If you have a Google Gmail account or a Facebook account, you may click on Sign in with Google or Sign in with Facebook.
If not, please click Sign Up Free to create a free account on Zoom.
Please note that the minimum age to create a Zoom account is 16 years of age, hence Zoom will ask for your date of birth when you are creating your free account.
3. Joining the Zoom meeting
You would have received a link to the Zoom meeting through email or WhatsApp or some other means.
Either click the link, type it in, or copy and paste the link into your web browser address bar (please note: do not use Internet Explorer as this does not work on Internet Explorer. Use Google Chrome or some other modern browser instead).
If the meeting has not yet started, you can do a test call to https://zoom.us/test
You will be asked if you want to Open zoom.us?
Please click on the Open zoom.us button. This will automatically tell the Zoom app (that you downloaded in Step 1) all the necessary information to join the Zoom meeting.
if you did not sign in to your Zoom app, you may be prompted that the meeting is for authorized participants only. Please click on the “Sign In to Join” button.
4. Join Audio
(a) After being admitted into the meeting, please click on Join Audio
You will find this icon in the bottom left corner of your screen.
(b) Do test your Speaker and Microphone…
(c) If you are having problems joining with computer audio, please click Switch to Phone Audio… (this will allow you to use your home landline telephone to listen to the Zoom meeting.

5. Some useful things to know
(a) Do keep your microphone muted until you need to speak.
Once you are done speaking, please mute your microphone.
(b) You can click on the Chat button to ask for help, ask a question, or just say “hi”.
(c) You can applaud or give a “thumbs up” with the Reactions button.
(d) If you open the Participants tab, you can give more responses
