Series Key Verse:
“I have written briefly to you, exhorting and declaring that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it.” 1 Peter 5:12b
Synopsis:
How shall we live as Christians in a hostile world? What is our purpose in the world? And what is our sure hope, in this world and beyond? In 1 Peter, the Apostle gives us the answers to these crucial questions that confront every believer. Facing persecution and suffering for their faith, the early Christians were strengthened and encouraged by Peter’s message: to stand firm in the true grace of God, living by the sure hope of their God-given identity in Christ and as citizens of heaven and exiles on earth. This message remains as needed as ever for Christians in today’s world. As we embark on our new sermon series on 1 Peter, may we also be strengthened and encouraged by its vital message.
