Following from where we left off in Isaiah 55, what more can be said? For Isaiah has already told of the deliverance through Cyrus of the Jewish exiles from Babylonian captivity, of the Suffering Servant who saves God’s people, and of the promised restoration of and return to Zion. But in the oft-difficult time of the “now” & the “not yet”, who will live by faith as we await the consummation of God’s wonderful promises? And who will forsake such a glorious salvation and face God’s fearsome final judgment? As we conclude our Isaiah sermon series with Isaiah 56-66, may we be spurred to live faithfully in the sure hope of our Lord’s salvation & victorious return & His promised new creation, & be glad & rejoice in Him, with all the redeemed of the nations, forever. Let us pray for Dr Philip Satterthwaite, Dr Tan
Lai Yong, Jason Sin, Elders Ernest Chew, Melville Szto, Daryl Liu, Joshua Quek as they take us through the series
