Get Connected by Serving in the Church

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10)

God has given us various talents and abilities, and we use it to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s gifts. There are many ways in which we can serve, here are some

Worship Ministry

I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.” Psalms 122:1

The BFEC worship ministry at our 8am and 10am weekly services seeks to be a channel through which Frankelites can commune with God in deep, honest and heartfelt worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Employing a range of styles of music, from hymns to contemporary worship songs, our aim is to give all Frankelites a resonant ‘voice’ to express their love for God in our different services and meetings. Our prayer for all who serve in the worship ministry is that we will serve with a spirit of excellence that springs from a deep and true relationship with Jesus Christ; that every song we sing will point others to Jesus. Our ministry consists of worship leaders, singers, keyboardists, pianist, organists, guitarists, drummers and bassists uniting to produce a beautiful sound unto the Lord and to facilitate the congregation to worship Him.

Tech Ministry

The Tech Ministry handles the production support for all BFEC’s programs, both in and outside of church.

We are always on the lookout for people who love IT, technology, photography, or videography and have a heart to serve behind the scenes, to operate the sound system, lyrics projection, live video production, and lighting equipment, giving their time and talent to the Lord and using their skills to enhance church services, glorifying God and furthering His Kingdom.

Volunteers are attached to a team for on the job training during weekend services and other ad-hoc church events before being rostered into a regular worship team.

“Let’s greet one another” is found 4 times in the Bible. The Greeters Ministry has been faithfully greeting since 2006. The greeters armed with a warm handshake and a joyful smile are at both services to greet in love. We are always on the lookout for like-minded members to join us. Greeting usually starts 15 minutes before each service and 10 minutes into service. We look forward to welcome you to this ministry.

Flower and Plant Arrangement

The purpose of the flower and plant arrangement ministry is to serve & worship God by expressing our love & appreciation through the talent God has given us. Beautiful floral arrangements bring joy to worshippers who enter the sanctuary. The arrangements also express our thanksgiving to God for the great things He has done for us. The ministry currently has about 20 faithful volunteers divided into 4 teams. Each volunteer is rostered to do floral arrangements three times a year under the guidance of a team leader.

Cafe LEAF (Let’s Eat And Fellowship)

The main objective of this ministry is to extend our Sunday fellowship beyond the normal worship services and cell groups, and to serve one another in practical and meaningful ways. On Sundays, Cafe Leaf serves lunch to the congregation after the 10am Worship service. We serve an average of over 100 members each week. Meals are charged based on a cost recovery basis and by God’s grace the ministry is self-sustained. We thank God for improved fellowship amongst the serving BCGs in Café Leaf. There were also opportunities to come alongside to serve in the weekly dinners during Alpha and raising support for Mission trips. We also had good support from our congregation in patronising Cafe Leaf.
